5Perfect Warrior....  Oct 30, 2003 By Dianne "Musically Enhanced"
I walk into my local walmart and go straight to the toys section. As i flip through the LOTR figures I say the names under my breath "Frodo,Sam,Eomer, another frodo, gollum, eowyn in armor, Wait wait!! eowyn in armor?!" I grabbed it and bought it right away. I open and find a perfect warrior. Eowyn has beautiful armor and detail all around. Her face is very accurate. She has a removable green cloak and a removable silver helm. She has a sheath for her sword (unlike the first eowyn). Her sword is very nice and fits in her hand perfect. Eowyn has a big spear which is rather large...but still cool. Overall this figure is very nice. Amazingly rare so i suggest you get it while you can. Shes gonna have a very cool part for ROTK so get this figure! Thanks for reading my review.

5Eowyn, the chick who kicks butt in The Return of the King  Oct 12, 2003 By Katherine Hoffman
I bought this Eowyn figure last week and so far she has stood up to the durability test of standing on my bookshelf lol. Realistically, though, she is put together well and everything seems to be sturdily attached, so I can see that she would withstand young, engergetic children playing with her. Her costume detail is wonderful. She comes with a neat Roharian sword and this super awesome spear (quite large though it looks smaller in the photo)...which I have not seen any other LOTR figures come with thats a nice, unique feature. The only drawback I see to her is that she's made to look a bit too manly...though she is in full armor (comes with a removable helmet too) so it's somwhat understandable. I keep the helmet off her, just so she doesn't totally look like a guy. Great figure though...a must have for all LOTR collectors and enthusiasts. Its also nice to finally have a figurine of her since none were released when the Two Towers came out. Get her while you can...rumor has it that she will become a rare one!

5The Shieldmaiden of Rohan Saves the Day  Nov 17, 2003 By Maldoror "raised by pirates"
I don't know about you, but I cannot WAIT to see how "Return of the King" translates to a movie, such an incredible book. And I especially can't wait to see the scene where Eowyn the shieldmaiden of Rohan kicks some butt! So in anticipation I was delighted to find this figure, and ordered it soon as I could. And I must say I was not disappointed. Her likeness in my opinion isn't very much like Miranda Otto, but that aside she is full of great detail and comes with a helmet, spear, and sword with a scabbard. The scabbard I really like, it is so perfect in miniature detail as though it were real. She is, as a previous reviewer stated, the perfect warrior. And I love the fact that, with her helm on, she looks like any other soldier of Rohan. (In fact, with her blond hair flowing from beneath, she reminds me of Eomer!) The folds of her cloak and clothing are sculpted perfectly. She seems to be very durable and well-made all the way around.
The only flaws I can mention are thus: The cloak wants to pop off her shoulders whenever you handle her a lot, but when she is not being played with it stays on fine. And she takes a little maneuvering to get her to stand, but she does stand and you can put her in some cool poses, spear held high, etc.
Over all, this is an excellent figure. And as always the sword slashing action is a definite bonus. One of the jewels in my collection so far.

5She's incredible  Oct 15, 2003 By Amazon Customer
This figure reflects the point in the upcoming movie when Eowyn disguises herself in armor of a rider of Rohan and takes part in the rescue of the siege of Minas Tirith by the forces of Sauron.
Of course, all you gals out there have been looking forward to seeing the shield maiden of Rohan get out on the battle field and whip some Orc-rear, so here's your chance!
Eowyn comes with her sword, ornately carved with horse-heads, a spear (rather ordinary), and a helm, with which she managed to disguise her feminine features. She wears chain mail and armor, and a tattered green cloak on her back, which is removable. Her eyes betray a solemn sadness yet purpose.
One flaw seems to be her legs - the way they are made, I mean. Her two feet appear almost to be put on backwards...the left foot on the right, and the right on the left. The feet are sort of able to swivel a little, but she still has difficulty standing on her own.
Very fine workmanship goes into making these figures, including laser-scanning of the actor's (or in this case, actress's!) face, and the character's approval of the workmanship. Even though we haven't yet seen Eowyn disguise herself, we know this will be an awesome part of the upcoming Return of the King movie, and this is an awesome figure to match. You'll definitely want her!

5Eowyn in Armor  Nov 27, 2003
I got Eowyn in Armor about 3 weeks ago. I collect the Lord of the Rings action figures, and LOVE them. You need to be careful with her spear, the paint is starting to come off a little bit (from taking the spearing in and out of her hand). Her sword looks just like the one in the movie (The Two Towers). Her cape comes on and off, and so does her hlemet. The only draw back to Eowyn in Armor is that only one of her hands gose down to her side. The other one stays up in the air. The action figure looks just like Miranda Otto, and has excelent craftsmanship.
